As part of the District of North Vancouver’s ("District") Rental and Affordable Housing Strategy, District Council has identified the need to strategically use District-owned land (through a long-term lease) for housing to meet the needs of low to moderate income households and housing vulnerable populations. Establishing this housing will require partnerships with non-profit housing providers and senior government funding, where appropriate. 

The District is seeking to work with an experienced non-profit housing provider to submit an application to BC Housing for the 2023 intake of Building BC applications under the Community Housing Fund (“CHF”) stream. This funding stream aims to create mixed income subsidized rental housing for families, seniors, and groups prioritized as in particular housing need.

Through this Request for Expressions of Interest (“REOI”), the District is seeking a non-profit housing provider to partner with on a social housing project on various parcels of District-owned lands.  Interested non-profit housing providers or other eligible agencies ("Respondents") are invited to make a Submission to this REOI.
