Description: 

The District of North Vancouver (the “District”) is soliciting proposals from
qualified environmental consultants to develop a Nature and Biodiversity
Strategy. The strategy will guide efforts to protect, enhance, and restore
biodiversity and natural systems in the District.
The objectives of the strategy are to increase community awareness of nature
and biodiversity in the District, identify and protect important ecosystems and
corridors; and provide recommendations for policies, plans and operational
practices to ensure the long term ecological integrity and resilience of the
District’s natural systems.
The Nature and Biodiversity Strategy will serve as a cornerstone policy
document, facilitating informed decision-making, fostering collaboration among
staff, residents, and partner organizations, and ensuring effective long term
stewardship of the District’s natural assets.
