The District invites detailed Submissions from qualified contractors (“Bidders”) with expertise in invasive species management, pesticide application, and environmental protection. This project involves site assessment, verification of target invasive plant species, and the chemical and mechanical control of target species located on public land owned by the District of North Vancouver. Target invasive species: Japanese knotweed (Reynoutria japonica) Bohemian knotweed (Reynoutria x bohemica) Giant knotweed (Reynoutria sachalinensis) Himalayan knotweed (Koenigia polystachya) Giant hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum) Chemical treatment of knotweed species is required, while treatment of giant hogweed is limited to mechanical control.
