The District invites detailed Proposals from multi-disciplinary consulting firms (“Proponents”) with expertise in structural, civil, geotechnical, and hydrotechnical engineering. The purpose of this project is to design and support the replacement of the east approach bridge structures, adjacent to the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. The scope of work involves developing conceptual and detailed design packages, obtaining geotechnical review of the existing foundations and general area of the proposed development, incorporating design elements from an arborist report, supporting the preparation of tender documentation, and providing support services for Engineer of Record, construction, engineering response, and signed and sealed record drawings. Tendering is planned for 2025, along with optional services for providing a detailed design package for the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge cable replacement. It is expected that during construction, the suspension bridge will be closed for an extended period. Proposed methodologies for structure replacement aim to minimize the bridge closure period, construction cost, and impacts on the environment.
