Description: |
This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP), but rather this RFI is intended to consult the market, and explore potential solutions addressing storage requirements, which may include ideas, examples, best practices and recommendations on approach and implementation, which the District may then use to help refine its requirements for a future procurement. The District of North Vancouver (the “District”) is seeking responses from vendors (the “Respondent”) who offer services to supply and install storage structures for materials and equipment required for District Parks, Streets, Utilities and Fleet operations. The District’s goal is to find a short to medium term solution to replace aging storage sheds at the District Operations Centre (public works yard), located at 1370 Crown Street, North Vancouver, BC. The District currently uses a linear, wood structure, open front, storage shed constructed in approximately 1960 that is divided into fourteen (14) individual bays to store materials and equipment including, but not limited to, turf care equipment, hand tools, utilities materials, pipe fittings, smaller snow removal equipment, vehicle accessories, and mobile generators. The sheds are open on the front and some are secured by chain link gates or wood fencing. The structures are equipped with minimal lighting and are unheated (see photos and site plan in Appendix B of the RFI document). The current shelter is in poor condition and requires replacement, and therefore the District is exploring options for the replacement of the shelters until a permanent storage solution can be constructed. Vendors who feel they have a solution that may meet the District's business needs as detailed in the RFI are encouraged to respond to this RFI. Further details of the District's requirements are available in the RFI document. |
